School District No. 43 Elementary School Meals Program

Healthy lunches play an important role in supporting elementary students' learning, growth, and overall well-being. Nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and protein help children maintain their energy levels, focus on classroom activities, and improve concentration throughout the day. Research shows that students who eat balanced meals are better prepared to learn, participate, and succeed academically.

At Roy Stibbs Elementary, we also promote litterless lunches as part of our commitment to environmental stewardship. We encourage families to pack lunches in reusable containers and reduce single-use packaging whenever possible. By working together to minimize waste, we can help keep our school grounds clean, reduce the amount of garbage sent to landfills, and foster a sense of responsibility and care for the land and environment. Thank you for supporting both the health of our students and the well-being of our community.

Toward such goals our school district provides an Elementary School Lunch Program to assist families. Roy Stibbs is pleased to be part of this program. All food preparation will be done at Como Lake Middle School's kitchen, under the direction of the teaching chef and elementary school meal co-ordinators. The meals are delivered each morning to our school.
