City of Coquitlam - Park Spark Light Brigade Volunteer

​J​oin the Park Spark Light Brigade team and get involved in Metro Vancouver’s largest free​​ outdoor light display, Lights at Lafarge! 

These Light Brigade Workshops provide an opportunity for the community to be a part of Lights at Lafarge by assisting in the creation and fabrication of lit elements that contribute to the lights display. 

Please bring a recycled plastic bottle to the workshop to be used in the lights display.

Port Moody Fall Fair- VOLUNTEERVolunteers may assist with activity booths, welcoming attendees, the Passport Stamp station, event setup and takedown and distributing event materials. 

All volunteers must attend a mandatory orientation session before the event. Orientation details and volunteer assignments will be shared with registered volunteers.

Port Coquitlam Elections - VolunteerLooking for volunteers to act as greeters during the upcoming Municipal Election! Take part in the democratic process and earn volunteer hours while doing it.

As a greeter, you are the first point of contact for voters when they enter the polling station. You will welcome them, direct them to the appropriate line and answer any questions they may have.

SFU Science Al!ve - Volunteers
SFU - Science AL!VE is looking or student volunteers. 🧪 High school students in Grades 10-12 who are interested in gaining experience by volunteering with our school-year programs at our SFU Burnaby and Surrey campuses. This is a great opportunity for students who are passionate about STEAM and interested in developing experience working with children in a fun, engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Between 15-19
  • Interested in community service, student government or service clubs
  • Able to work in a neutral and impartial way
  • Comfortable using technology
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

What: We are currently accepting applications from individuals interested in future election official opportunities. Qualified applicants may be contacted if a provincial general election is called within the next 6 months. Positions available:

  • Ballot Issuing Officer ($342/ day)
  • Information Officer ($329/ day)
  • Tabulator Officer ($329/ day)
