Walton Elementary is proud to host a Harry Potter themed Sports Day on Friday, June 8th! Yes, a Harry Potter themed Sports Day! The students will be placed into three Hogwarts Houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. More information will be coming but here are some highlights.
- We will start the day at 8:50am and the morning will feature 8 different Hogwarts themed stations.
- We'll have an early lunch at 11:30am. The Walton PAC will be hosting pre-ordered lunches for students that day.
- In the afternoon, at 12:30pm we will feature a final, magical activity called "Pass the Potion" on the lower field. I hear that the dreaded fourth house Slitherin will make an appearance!
- Our day will end at 1:45pm. Please notify your daycare providers.
Monday, June 11th is a Professional Day at Walton.
Mrs. Dupuis and Ms. Cui's classes are hosting a fundraiser for the BC SPCA. SPCA "Kidz Care" Freezie Fundraiser are June 13th and June 22nd after school at the Tot Lot ($1.00 each)
The Staff of Walton would like to host a "Garden Party" as part of our appreciation for Walton parents on Tuesday, June 19th, 1:30-2:20 in our gymnasium. If you haven't done so, please RSVP by returning the yellow form to your child's teacher by Friday, June 8th. We are not able to provide babysitting for this event, so we ask parents to make alternate arrangements for any toddlers or pre-schoolers. We can only accept RSVP's based on the returned yellow form.
Also, we will be saying farewell to our Grade 5s on Thursday, June 21st at 12:45pm.
