Our Remembrance Day Ceremony is Tuesday, November 10^th at 10:45am. 

School will be closed to honour Remembrance Day on Wednesday, November 11^th.

The staff of Walton Elementary would like to make our Remembrance Day ceremony more meaningful for families.

We would like to dedicate our display cabinet to our communities’ connections to Remembrance Day.  We are calling this “Walton Remembers”.

We are inviting families to send a photo (or copy) or an artifact that connects their family to Remembrance Day.  The glass cabinet will be kept locked.  Photos should be appropriate for viewing by elementary children.

We will start putting items on display beginning Monday, November 2^nd.  Our theme will end Monday, November 16^th.  We hope this sparks a conversation at home and at school about your family’s personal connection to Remembrance Day and veterans. 

Please send the photo or item along, with your child’s name and division printed on the back.  You can also place a sticky note with your child’s name, if you do not want to write on the back.

We’ll place the photo on display along with your family’s name.
