Grade 8 Girls Volleyball: yesterday the grade 8 girls team went to the District Semi-Finals at Eagle Mountain.  In game 1, our girls faced Minnekhada, who has been undefeated this year and was last year's district champions!  The teams were tied 1 set a piece going into our 3rd and deciding set.  With great defence, and timely hitting, our girls pull ou ta 15-13 victory earning a spot in the district finals against Monty Middle.

In the district finals, Maillard pulled ahead quickly winning the first set.  After a few serving errors by our girls, Monty won the second set setting up an exciting 3rd set.  Unfortunately, with great serving Monty jumped out ahead and never looked back.  It was a heart-breaking loss in the finals. 

Thank you to ALL the grade 8 girsl for a phenomenal season with great effort & decidation, you made Maillard proud!  Thank you to Mr.  "Kung Fu Panda" Lau for his time & assistance,  & Ms. "High Heel" Philbrook for her coaching as well.

A special shout out to Isabella "The Notorious D-I-G" for her outstanding play and leadership in the district playoffs!
