​Gr. 8 Girls volleyball: Team A has a practice today at lunch in preparation for their district playoff today @ Eagle Mountain.

The grade 8 Girls were participating in district playoffs last night at Monty and at Eagle Mountain.

 At Monty Middle: the girls finished their round robin play with a very respectable 2 and 1 record going into the semi finals.  It was a hard fought team effort with Maillard coming out of a short end of a 25 to 23 score.  Outstanding effort by Gina "Slama Jamma" and Julia "Spikes"!

The Team at Eagle Mountain whent 3 and 1 in their first 4 matches with a chance of advancing.  In their last game, we faced the undefeated host team from Eagle Mountain.  Our girls really pulled together, upset the home squad by a nail biter score of 22-22 sending us into the district semi-finals this afternoon back at Eagle Mountain.  Great work girls!  There were a few outstanding efforts by: Samantha "iBlock", Franscine "We Will, We will Crush You", Lauren "I can dig it", and Isabella "The Notorious D-I-G"!

 Congratulations to the gr. 8 boys volleyball team for a great regular season.  However last night, they had a perfect record, and failed to qualify to the final round. We definitely showed the best sportsmanship & did the most high 5's in the history of middle school volleyball. Great leadership by Alex "Dee-W" & Ian "Black & Yellow, Black & Yellow".  See your coach if you are interested in a wrap up lunch.
