Cross Catchment Applications Open Until Feb 11, 2026 4pm
Cross Catchment Applications are for students who wish to transfer to another school that is not their neighbourhood catchment school.  All applications will be processed using a lottery system.  For students starting Kindergarten in K , you do not need to provide the PEN. Apply for Kindergarten here.   For Grades 1- 12 students,  y ou will nee d your child's nine digit PEN (Personal Education Number) to complete the application. PEN's can be found on formal report cards, through the MyED Family Portal, or through your school.   Apply for Grades 1-12 here. ​F amilies will be notified by email about the status of their application in the first week of March.

  • ​If your child will be starting Kindergarten in September and has an older sibling who will still be attending the same elementary school in September (even if it's not your neighbourhood catchment school), you can register directly at the sibling's school. You do not need to apply for cross catchment.​​​
  • All applications will be processed using a lottery system (random selection)​*
  • Families will be notified by email about the status of their application in the first week of March

CORE COMPETENCIES

​The core competencies along with literacy and numeracy foundations and essential content and concepts are at the centre of the redesign of curriculum and assessment. Core competencies are sets of intellectual, personal, and social and emotional proficiencies that all students need to develop in order to engage in deep learning and life-long learning. Through provincial consultation, three core competencies were identified.
