We hope everyone is having a relaxing summer! Below is the information that was sent out at the end of June. Please note: regarding health & safety protocols, a detailed email was sent to you September 1st. Please phone the school if you did not receive it.
First Day: For our returning (gr 1-5) students, they will line up in their regular meeting spot (from last year) at 9am on Tuesday, September 7th. Students will join their former classmates (and in most cases, their teacher) from 9-10 that morning and then as a home base class for the rest of the week. It will give them all the opportunity to connect in a familiar, safe environment before moving into their new classes the following week. New students: please meet at the front main doors and we'll walk you to your class for the week. New Kindergarteners: you have a separate gradual entry schedule that has been emailed to you already. Can't wait to meet those new to our community!
Bell Schedule: Our start and end times will remain the same. Starting Wednesday, September 8th, your gr 1-5 child will come to school from 8:50-2:45 (the warning bell goes at 8:45).
School Supplies: In order to be environmentally friendly and for your convenience, the primary (gr K-3) teachers will be collecting funds in order to buy shared supplies that they will be using in their classrooms. Once your child is assigned to a class, you can pay the fee on School Cash Online. For the first week back, they can just bring some old supplies. Please do not feel like you have to buy any supplies before school starts. Students going into grade 4 & 5, the supply list is on the website for you to purchase your own supplies.
Our office is now open 8am-3:30pm on weekdays. As always, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Rawnsley (srawnsley@sd43.bc.ca) with any questions.
