Schools are OPEN with the potential for delayed start at outage impacted sites

Administrators are currently assessing their sites to determine if there will be a delayed start and will communicate directly with families to determine when sites will open. At this time, schools will remain OPEN with the potential for a delayed start at impacted sites.
We are experiencing a series of power outages this morning at the following school sites:

Riverview Park Elementary Baker Drive Elementary Charles Best Secondary CABE Centennial Field Montgomery Middle Montgomery Centre Maillard Middle Glenayre Elementary Seaview Elementary
Millside (iHub, Suwa'lkh)

Hydro crews are on site for Mountainview Elementary , Riverview Park Elementary, Baker Drive Elementary, and Charles Best Secondary.

Understanding Indigenous Ways of Learning is one of our upcoming school goals. Students are already exploring these concepts in many curricular areas, including art, such as this example of Coast Salish design (digital).
