"The largest trees give us the gift of cedar planks. We use an adze to harvest planks from the ground up to the branches (like in this tree behind me). We cut and split the plank from the tree in a way that allows the tree to live on. Task: Look for large trees where the bark is already stripped. Use your adze to take planks from the roots in a straight line up to the branches. Be sure to thank the tree before you harvest!"
