Note: students may apply for both the B.C. Excellence scholarship and the Pathway to Teacher Education scholarship but they can only be awarded one.

SFU Bursaries: SFU offers a number of large-value entrance bursaries to assist students for whom the cost of attending university would be a significant impediment. Entrance bursaries are available to domestic high school applicants.

National Scholarships are designed to recognize all-round excellence. They are awarded on the basis of outstanding academic performance to candidates who demonstrate ability for creative and innovative thought and a passion for the pursuit of learning. National Scholarships also recognize exceptional achievement in extracurricular activities such as the arts and athletics. A special emphasis is placed on a candidate's commitment to community service through ongoing contributions to school and community life.
Each school is able to nominate up to 4 students for the National Scholarship Program (note: a school can nominate 1 additional student (in addition to the 4) if that student is an international (visa) student). Schools are not nominating students for a specific scholarship. The nomination is for the student to be considered for the scholarships available within the National Scholarship Program.

The BCSTA Student Citizenship Awards acknowledge students enrolled in
the K-12 public education system for their outstanding contributions to
their school and community. The awards are presented in three specific
areas. Each of the three $750 awards will be given to students pursuing
post-secondary education or skills and career training through a
recognized institution. You must be enrolled at a degree-granting
technical or vocational school, college, or university recognized by the
Canada Revenue Agency as a registered charity or be enrolled in a
prescribed university outside of Canada.

The REMAX Quest for Excellence scholarship program
is a cash scholarship that recognizes students for their ongoing

scholarship program, REMAX Canada is pleased to offer 40 scholarships of
$1,000 each to students across Canada (except for Quebec). The 2026 Quest for Excellence program will invite eligible students
