Angad Hundal Memorial Award is an annual scholarship, given to support the higher education of a Canadian youth. The applicants will be judged by the qualities highest of a human, like self-discipline, empathy, compassion, patience, tolerance, fairness, helpfulness, open-mindedness, authenticity, consistency, perseverance and last but not the least, respect. We recognizes that these qualities are difficult to define or measure so extensive effort is made in assessing applications to select the winner. Criteria is critiqued and improved by making changes as needed.

All high school students, registered to join a college, university or equivalent higher education institution can apply.​

Applying or enrolled for Fall 2025 in a vocational or technical certificate program at a government or non-for-profit institution, with direct pathways to employment.

Demonstrate critical financial need ($100,000 or less annual net income per family is required)

Demonstrate perseverance in overcoming adversity

Be under the age of 35

Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident residing in British Columbia

The $3,000 Dr. Hal Weinberg Scholarship is awarded annually to an Anmore Grade 12 student who has demonstrated exceptional community commitment and plans to pursue post-secondary education.

The recipient(s) of the scholarship will have one (1) year to enroll into the post-secondary institution of their choice. Proof of enrollment must be provided prior to disbursing the scholarship.

The successful recipient will be based on a variety of factors including community volunteering, academic achievements, extra-curricular activities and future plans.

In order to be eligible for the Federation Youth Education Bursary, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. You are currently in care or you are a former youth in care in the province of BC. This includes being under a continuing custody order (CCO), temporary custody order (TCO, Voluntary Agreement or Special Needs Agreement), or a Youth Agreement under British Columbia’s Child, Family and Community Services Act. 
  2. You are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. 
  3. You are 30 years old or younger in the year of your application. 
  4. You are currently attending or plan on enrolling in a post-secondary academic program provided by an institution, organization, or company in Canada.   
  5. Your education plans relate to a career in the field of Human and Social Services. Examples include Social Work, Counselling, Child & Youth Care, Psychology, Community, Family & Child Studies, Gerontology & Social Work, Health Care, Mental Health & Addictions, Law, and Sociology. ​

One to four awards will be granted annually to any grade 12 student in Port Coquitlam who meets the following criteria:

  • In their grade 11 & 12 years is enrolled in Terry Fox Secondary or Riverside Secondary.
  • Is in good academic standing with a minimum overall grade of 75%
  • Has competed in at least one sport, or has been a team manager for at least one sport, at their high school in their grade 11 and 12 years
  • Has demonstrated high standards of leadership, athletic performance or service to a team at their high school
  • Has demonstrated a passion for their sport and a willingness to share their knowledge with younger athletes.
  • Will be attending a post-secondary institution in the fall of the award

Grace Family Network Foundation has established a scholarship fund to award to deserving high school graduates in financial need. The awards are intended to encourage students who are pursuing a post-secondary education and who have demonstrated not only academic achievement but also interest in their communities.

Scholarships will be awarded to three students in the amount of $1000. As well, the winning essays submitted by the scholarship recipients will be featured on gfnf's website. Application criteria include:

  • A resident of Metro Vancouver (applicable municipalites)
  • Currently registered in Grade 12
  • Criteria: students with outstanding academic and leadership achievements demonstrating financial need
  • Evidence of enrolment or application to a post-secondary school in the 2025-2026 academic year
  • A one page essay on "What experience has shaped your values?" (see application form for more details)

The Luke Santi Memorial Award for Student Achievement is presented to a graduating Canadian high school student who has been accepted into a full-time academic program in Physical Sciences at a Canadian university and will commence studies in Fall 2025. ​The scholarships are open to this year's graduating secondary school students planning to enroll in a post-secondary educational institution for the first time in 2025.  To be eligible for this scholarship candidates must 1) be of Italian origin i.e. as having at least one parent or grandparent of direct Italian descent, 2) be living in a city or municipality within the 21-member Greater Vancouver Regional District, 3) have an academic standing sufficient to qualify for entry into the post-secondary institution of their choice, and 4) submit a completed application form with supporting documentation post-marked no later than June 15, 2025.​​

The British Columbia Retired Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association (BCRPVPA) awards up to ten (10) bursaries/scholarships, in the amount of $1000 each, to students who graduate from the BC public school system and who are continuing their education at an accredited post-secondary institution. (Students planning a “gap year” should apply in the year in which they register in a post-secondary program.)

Applicants who are pursuing education in trades, technical and career fields, as well as those entering universities and colleges, are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be judged on their demonstrated

The Capilano Community Leadership Entrance Award recognizes BC high school students with documented leadership and volunteerism in the community and demonstrated strong academic standing. Valued at up to $3,500 towards tuition and tuition surcharges, twenty of these awards are offered each year to BC high school students with a maximum of one student per school, per year.​

1.​. All Capilano Community Leadership Entrance Award applications require a completed nomination statement from a BC High School Representative.
2. Representatives may complete as many nominations as desired; however, only one student per high school may receive an award.

• Applicants must be interested in pursuing a career in social work, education, psychology, nursing or social service and possess academic grades sufficient to allow admission into their chosen area of study/educational facility and demonstrate financial need.

• Applicants are requested to share their story, in not more than 500 words about their individual and family experiences in Canadian life, how they impacted the lives of others in their community and their plans for the future. 

• Applicants must submit 2 reference letters from a school official and a community member representing a community-based organization that highlight the applicant’s transition into the life in Canada, aspirations and career goals for the future. 

• Applicants are encouraged to discuss their application with the Scholarship Coordinator at their Secondary/High school​

David Lam/BC TEAL English Language Learner Scholarship was established by the TEAL Charitable Foundation to honour David C. Lam, the 25th Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia. During his lifetime, David C. Lam was respected for his commitment to excellence, English language study and public service. The scholarship is valued at up to $4,000. The David Lam/BC TEAL English Language Learner Scholarship is awarded annually to an English language student who wishes to study at a post-secondary institution, has excelled academically and has taken an active part in community and/or school service. ,
