StrongStart is offered on a first come first serve basis. We're limited to a capacity of 30-40 bodies depending on the size of each centre.
Strict physical distancing is no longer required. However, centres will be utilizing available space to spread people out where possible.
All families will complete a daily health assessment prior to attending. If you or your child are unwell please stay at home.
How to Register for New Families
Step 1: Review the StrongStart Letter of expectation - Feb. 2024.pdf
Step 2: Download the Strong Start Registration Form (PDF) on your device.
It is recommended that you complete the registration form using a computer (PC or Mac).
Mobile phone, iPad or tablet is not recommended.
If you are unable to complete the registration form on a computer, please contact 604-937-6381.
Step 3: Complete the Registration Form.
Save it on your device as “Strong Start Registration for [Name of Child]"
Step 4: Prepare the required documents for registration.
Data Entry Guidelines and Acceptable Documentation
Families have the option of sending scans or photos of all required documents.

Step 5:
Send an email back to
strongstart@sd43.bc.ca and attach the Strong Start Registration Form and other required documents.

Play spaces will be pre-designated either on the school grounds or within the local community. *Note: Please contact strongstart@sd43.bc.ca or the outdoor StrongStart teacher for details.
- Site assessments will be conducted prior to each session to ensure safety.

Families will remain outdoors for the duration of the session unless extreme weather events. Please dress appropriately for all weather conditions.
HYGIENE, CLEANING AND DISINFECTING

Masks are optional.

StrongStart teachers will wash their hands frequently.

StrongStart teachers and participants will practice physical distancing whenever possible.

A small snack will be distributed during each session. If you have dietary needs, please be prepared to provide your own snack.

Access to washroom facilities is limited but not prohibited. Home facilities are recommended before coming to the StrongStart centre.

Signs are posted to inform families of precautions. Please read these.
- Each person will sanitize their hands before entering the classroom/building.

Regular cleaning and disinfecting will be conducted for all high touch point areas and materials.
