From April 10th to 12th, we will be conducting some testing sessions to see if students qualify for the gifted learner designation in our school system. Students who are identified as gifted learners are eligible, if they wish, to participate in the weekly challenge program, attend middle magnet workshops, apply to a gifted program when they go to high school etc. They are not "required" to do anything differently, there are just some other options available to them!
If you are a grade 6 or 7 student who would like to participate in these tests, please speak to your teacher or come and see Victoria in the counselling office! All names need to be submitted to Victoria by Friday April 7th so please do not wait until the last minute as we need to get lots of things prepared in advance for the tests. We are using a new test so even if you tried it last year, you can sign up again if you want to.
