Dear Jazz Band Parents

Mr. Luniw and I would like to take some of our enthusiastic young musicians to a performance at the Vancouver Jazz Festival. Geoff Claridge is performing a free show at Granville Island from 12-2pm. He is a saxophone/clarinet player who is playing with some of the top jazz musicians in Vancouver, including multiple Juno award-winning trumpet/piano player Brad Turner.

We plan on leaving PMSS right after Phoenix class on Wednesday, June 29 around 11:30 - and returning after the show around 2:30. There is no cost to this field trip. We will travel downtown in the vehicles of Mr. Luniw and myself. We can buy lunch at the market, so students are reminded to bring lunch or a few dollars to purchase lunch on Granville Island.

I recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
