If you are in grade 10, 11 or 12 and are interested in making an application for a Language Challenge Exam please see your counsellor regarding the process and the steps you need to take. The deadline for this application is October 26, 2012 and your application must be returned to your counsellor no later than this date. All Exams will take place in January 2013 in Delta.

Please be aware that the process of challenge is meant to be rigorous, maintaining the integrity of the curriculum and the standards of a quality education. It is intended for students of exceptional ability or for those who have had exceptional opportunities for learning through some special circumstance.

Challenge is not a way for students to improve their course marks, or a replacement for the valuable experience of learning a language in a classroom setting. Also, please note that although a language challenge exam meets the language 11 requirement for most post-secondary institutions,  in some cases such as at UBC, a language challenge 12 mark cannot be used in the calculation of the entrance average.
