Hey Moody, Did you know that our school supports the BC Children's Hospital every year with an event call Formal Day!
Yes, that's right, we do...
Some businesses call it Jeans Day, but here at Moody, we wear our Jeans A LOT! So, to raise awareness and fundraise for children in need... We celebrate by dressing up in something nice and fancier than our jeans, on Formal Day!
This year Formal Day is on Friday, May 27 at lunch. There will be music, dancing and Freezies for sale!
And we are happy to tell you that.... ALL THE FUNDS raised from our Freezie Sales will go to the Red Cross humanitarian Relief for the Ukraine!!!
So bring in your loonies and toonies for the freezie sale and make your donations to the BC Children's Hospital using the online donation link. You can find this link on your class Teams and in the Moody Matters bulletin that is emailed home weekly. So lets do our part MOODY and make a difference in the lives of others! Make a donation if you can, every little bit helps!

There is a meeting tomorrow at lunch in the library for any students who signed up to help with the book fair.
TALENT SHOW
Reminder - if you signed up for a Talent Show audition at lunch today, please come to the Music Room and wait in the hall. The Talen Show Audition sign-up sheet is on the wall outside the music room if you need to check your time.

Safety First
If there is an emergency and we need to evacuate, please, there is NO (pause for effect) NO talking from your classroom or wherever you are in the building all the way out to your line up. You were quiet approaching the line on the field but coming out, there was some chatter which meant that teachers had to stop and remind you to walk silently. Many of you were not respecting safety protocols. I saw four classes practicing walking silently and safely yesterday AFTER the drill had concluded. Let's just get it right the first time! Thank you.
R is for Respect
If you are silent and safe during a drill, and if you are quiet and respecting your teacher's instructions at all times, your are doing the right thing and this will keep us all safe!
Treat Tuesday and Hot Lunch
Today is Treat Tuesday! Tomorrow is hot lunch Wednesday and A&W is coming!
Gauss Math Contest
Tomorrow morning, students will be writing the Gauss Math Contest if you signed up! Teachers, please see your email later this morning and check that your list is accurate! Students, please be sure to have tried out the practice test posted on TEAMS about 6 weeks ago. Also, you'll be asked to bring a calculator, pencil, eraser, ruler and an optional dictionary with compass! The test is 60 minutes long and so Fire and Water will go first at 9:15am and Earth and Wind will write at 11am! An announcement will be made for students to move to the MPR when it is time. Ms. Jung will be outside during breaks if you have questions!
