Safety First

You may have a mask on or not but you'll always have to eat! Remember if you are eating outside, you'll want to sanitize or wash your hands before you eat or head outside, as soon as you finish and at least when Nut Break is over and upon returning to class! We are trying to prevent COVID and also the comin Colds and flus!

R is for Respect

We have encouraged one person in the washroom at a time and continue to ask you to respect the space and use it only for toilet use and hand washing or putting on deodorant! The washroom is not a place to chit chat so when you see a friend, carry on elsewhere  and as you head back to your friends outside during breaks!

District French Speech Finalist
Felicitations Laura in Division 3 represented Moody at the District French language speech finals yesterday. It's hard enough speaking in front of your peers in English, yet, Laura managed to write and perform her speech in French about the important connection between the arts and mental health. We are so proud to announce that she won the District finals with Mme LeBlanc's guidance, and will compete at the provincials in May. Bon chance or good luck, Laura! 

Lockers
Some of you have started to receive locks and lockers. Remember to keep those combinations secret as this is a space for you to put your personal belongings and keep them safe. You are responsible for the lock and locker which are on loan to you so be sure to take this responsibility seriously! It is time for some spring cleaning, too! Instead of putting everything you own into your locker, be sure to take home extra supplies and materials you are done with here at school! 

Street Banner Contest
Every class has all the criteria to create a Street Banner and it is under the General section of your TEAMS site so please use this time over the weekend to put together your entry which is due on Tuesday at Nut Break to the office! Good luck!

Teachers, we are calling on you to remind your budding artists and those with hidden talents to remind your students to create something amazing to be showcased on the poles outside our front entrance! 4 days is plenty of time to create something simple, simple, bold, bold, simple, bold and thoughtful!

High Five Friday! 
Today is pseudo Friday or false Friday! We're a day early but this is a good time to acknowledge individuals who have been supportive of each other!

Recently, Maya in Ms. Egelstad's class was challenged to defend her story and she rose to the occasion and has shown a kindness and spirit that is true of real leaders! Bravo!

Did you know there are 3 Jaydens in Wind Pod?! Thanks to Jayden, Jayden and Jayden for your help with not finding Nemo, but finding Jayden!

There are a number of Lucas' in Water Pod, too! 3 and counting for sure! This time, It's Lucas Sweeney - thanks for sharing your jokes! Why is the pig no good at soccer? Because he hogs the ball! hahahaha (laugh track, please)!!

SPORTS

Spring sport sign up is taking place this week. If you are thinking of signing up, please come to the foyer with your own pencil! The Spring sports will be: Ruby, Track and  Field, Badminton, Wrestling, Basketball, and Volleyball. The sign up lists are up on the rolling board in the foyer. listen to the announcements for your first practice and meeting time.

Volleyball

Today afterschool is the first day of volleyball club. If you are signed up and ready, please do come to the gym after school for volleyball club. Vball will be every Thursday after school.
