Daily Announcements - March 11, 2022

March 11, 2022

Announcements

We welcome Ms. Mountain with us again. We also say a fond farewell to Ms. Lammie who has been with us in Wind Pod since January. We will miss all she has done to support us all! We also say thank you to Ms. Bromhead at the office. She is leaving us to work with her husband at his business! Thank you to both of you for your service and hard work at Moody. We hope you have a good last day!

Reminders from Ms. Jung

Safety First

You may have heard that mask mandates have changed but it does not apply to us at school today. We continue to keep safe at school for now by keeping all the same safety measures in place! We are doing our daily health check, hand washing, walking on the right, staying with our main class groups, swearing our masks and keeping a respectful distance.

R is for Respect

We have an important assembly today. Please stay seated because you got your wiggles out at nut break, because you went to the washroom before the assembly and because you should just stay seated and be polite! Clap at the appropriate time and just be thankful you have the privilege of being in school, being healthy with a mask on and being warm and dry!

Being outside today will also be an important time for everyone to play, have fun, be safe and be kind. Please be good and make wise decisions. There will be more eyes on us today to support us and keep us safe outside. Thanks to Mme. Grayston for heading out with us, too!

Birthdays

Today, Happy Birthday to Adison and Nikki.

We also wish a Happy Holiday Fridays and weekends Birthday to  Dominique, Dylan, Dani, Ken, Emma, Hang, and Arlasia.

High Five Friday

Huge kudos to Ms. Bromhead at the office! She had been busy behind the scenes coordinating schedules, paperwork, orders and more for us. Woot woot!

Special thanks to Ms. Lammie for setting up the self reg room for us to use! She has been so helpful to both staff and students!

All of our student helpers for today's assembly deserve big honours for stepping up out of their comfort zones. You will meet them later! Let's be extra respectful of them today and listen with our hearts, too!

Lorna's art installation is being unveiled today! She has poured her heart into this for us; we hope you love it!

Yearbook

There is a drop-in at lunch today for all yearbook page designers to work on their pages. Many pages still have a lot of work to do so Ms. Leonard encourages everyone to come.

Have you bought your yearbook yet? Time is running out to buy your own slice of Moody history. The end of April is the deadline. Yearbooks are a great way to remember all the fun and interesting times over the year and a keepsake you will always treasure. Don't miss out! Go to School Cash Online today.

Spring Break Camp

During spring break the City of Port Moody's recreation department is having an EPIC youth camp! There are still spaces available for the second week! Go to portmoody.ca/signmeup for info
