Reminders from Ms. Jung

Safety First

We all deserve to play and learn on our school grounds in a safe, respectful and fun manner. That means using respectful language at all times inside and outside. It means listening to the adults with ears and eyes, it means stopping when you hear stop on the swings and it means playing on the back sides of the school, not the street side.

R is for Respect

The rubber swing is closed again today to allow us another day to consider how we should be acting when playing on the swings. The language, noise level, safety precautions and respectful distancing must all be respectful when playing with others, including on the swings.

Immunizations for Grade 6 students postponed
Immunizations for grade 6 students have been postponed. Stay tuned for a date in December! Please give your forms to your teachers who will pass them along to Ms. Jung as soon as possible!

Daylight Savings
It is fall and we FALL back this weekend shortly after midnight on Saturday! That means we lose an hour of sleep. Research says that if you start going to bed a half hour earlier tonight, tomorrow night and Sunday night, you'll ensure you are refreshed and ready to learn on Monday! So, remember to set your wind-up clocks back an hour this weekend and get extra rest!

FSA Catch-up today!

Teachers make sure your students are ready to go when picked up at about 9:30am. Students will need adequately charged devices, pencils and calculators. Thank you!

Ms. Baboi has been supporting Fire Pod this week and we appreciate you being so willing to share your passion for teaching and learning with us every day!!

Was it you? A group of students in Fire Pod wanted to play tetherball but try as they might, the chain was too high to hook the ball into. You kindly came and without question, helped them hook the ball to the chain. Thank you! 

Ms. Tonkin and Mr. Mendes have stepped up to help students this week, changing up their usual schedules without question. Go team!!

Elin Abercrombie took on the task of note taker at Student Leadership Council and rocked the role! Way to go, Elin!
