Good Morning ÉMMSOTA Families.
Once again I hope you are all finding ways to stay cool on this hottest day in my memory. WE are fortunate to have all our systems running currently and so the temperature is not too bad inside our building today.
We have been given direction from the District to hold our final day of classes with students tomorrow morning, to allow for any pick up of items and for us to go ahead with our modified Grade 8 Leaving.
Here is what we are planning as we wrap up our school year.
- FIRE and WIND Pods will arrive at their normal time 8:40 and will be dismissed at 11:30.
EARTH and WATER Pods will arrive at regular time 8:55 and will be dismissed at 11:45.
- It is up to parents if they choose to keep their child home or dismiss them even earlier than the designated time.
- Grade 8 Leaving Event will still happen as it would have today with classes cycling down to the Gym for their portion of the event which will be filmed to be published to Grade 8 parents on June 30th. There will still be a pizza lunch provided for Grade 8 classes, so we encourage them all to attend.
- We will start our day with a school wide TEAMS event that will have a few words leading us into the Grade 8 Leaving Portion. Students will be sent an access link if they are not at school and they choose to watch it from home. Here is the TEAMS Link we will be using. Only students and people within our organization will be able to join. We will be recording part of the event so students are reminded to keep all cameras and mics off if they are viewing.

** If parents are keeping your children home or are picking up earlier than the designated dismissal time please let the school know as we will be completing regular attendance tomorrow morning as our last official day of school.
** Reminder that Report Cards are being posted to MYED Family and Student Portal today. Please let Moody Middle Office: 086-office@sd43.bc.ca if you are having problems accessing these reports. They should be posted by 4 PM today.
Thank you all for your understanding and patience once again. We are looking forward to wrapping up this year and moving into summer where everyone hopefully can rest relax and reconnect as things open up.
Kindest Regards.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
