We are grateful and relieved that all of the residents of the Mountainview Co-op are safe. Families in our community were profoundly effected by the fire, some losing their homes and belongings. We appreciate the outpouring of support from those of you that would like to help.
The City of Port Moody has organized the support and donation process. Here is information on what is being organized and how you can help:
· Community volunteers and the Coop have already organized a Thanksgiving dinner for the residents and preparations are well under way.
· Mountain View Co-op has advised that they are at capacity for physical donations (clothing, etc). They suggest the donation of gift cards rather than clothing.
· People who want to provide financial support are encouraged to donate to the fund. If you wish to donate money, the Trust Account for Mountain View Co-op is #2067031 Branch #52. Deposits can be made at any VanCity credit union. Electronic transfers are not possible.
