Dear Parents,
We are delighted to announce that Mrs. Kerri Johnston will be joining our Birchland staff as our Grade 1 / 2 (Division 6) teacher, beginning on Monday, October 3rd. Kerri is an exceptional early primary teacher who is currently completing her Graduate Diploma in Early Years Learning, alongside her classmate Mrs. Rutherford (Teacher of Grade 1 Division 7 teacher).
Mrs. Johnston is known as an innovative, engaging teacher who delivers her students’ curriculum through rich, multi-sensory learning experiences and a warm and caring classroom climate. She has earned high respect in her former learning communities for her leadership in the area of Social Emotional Learning and her ability to create an inclusive, calm and engaging learning environment for primary children.
Kerri is very excited to meet her students and their families and looks forward to belonging to the Birchland community. Please feel welcome to stop by in the upcoming weeks and introduce yourself to her at your convenience.
