Date of Field Trip: Friday, May 31, 2019
Departure Time: 9 am (please arrive on time @ 8:50 am) Anticipated Return Time: 2:50 pm
Location of the Field Trip: Belcarra Regional Park
We have planned a school-wide trip with curricular connections to Belcarra Regional Park. We will explore the beach ecosystem and do our part to clean up the beach. We will also head into the woods for a walk and to try some interactive games to help us understand how animals survive and thrive in that ecosystem. We will also have time to play on the playground and try out some field activities and games.
Students will need to bring: Dress appropriately for weather – hats, sunscreen, walking shoes, water and raingear. Backpack with your extra items, spare clothes and lunch is provided by BPAC: 1 each of Water, chips, and hot dog. Parent volunteers are needed to make this happen. Students can bring supplemental food as necessary for lunch and will need to bring a snack for the morning and/or afternoon.
Teacher(s)/Administrator(s) in Charge: Ms. Anjos and all teachers
Cost of Optional Field Trip: $0. BPAC has generously paid for the buses.
We require parent volunteers for this trip – to supervise class groups and help with BPAC’s lunch. Please indicate on the return form if you can volunteer for class groups and/or BPAC lunch. Parents attending will need to find their own way as buses are for students and staff only. We will help organize parent drivers on the morning of the field trip in the front foyer.
