Douglas College is hosting our Early Summer Orientation program next week.  These events are designed to jump start students' college experience through helpful workshops on course registration, financial aid, student life and more!  We'll also be introducing them to other students and answering any questions they may have come up with so far.   (We've got a ton of prizes to give away, too!)

  • May 23rd at the David Lam Campus, 5:30pm – 8:30pm
  • May 24th at the New Westminster Campus, 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Until June 15th, grade 11 students may apply to TRU for the 2013-2014 academic year. Programs available in this early admission program are bachelor’s degrees in Arts, Science, Business, Natural Resource Science, Computing Science, and the latest degree addition – Tourism Management – plus diploma programs in Computing Systems Operations Management as well as the newly added Tourism diplomas in Events & Conventions Mgmt, Resort & Hotel Mgmt, and Sports Event Mgmt. Students who take advantage of the early application program will be granted earlier course registration next summer. Applications at www.tru.ca/grade11. Douglas College’s BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program is currently being revised. The first intake of the new curriculum is planned for Fall 2013 pending approval by the Ministry of Advanced Education and the College of Registered Nurses of BC. The curriculum is a 4 year program with a 1+3 structure. The first year is the Academic Foundations in Nursing; this first year will provide students with a strong liberal arts and science foundation. Applicants are required to successfully complete 30 University Transfer Credits with a grade of C+ or better in each of the ten required courses.
