The Gulf Islands Film &Television School (GIFTS) will be presenting a career & personal planning presentation for students and adults with the focus on media. This free one & a half hour presentation will include examples of GIFTS’ award-winning films and describe the film, video and animation programs offered at GIFTS as well as the available bursaries and scholarships.

The presentations will take place from 6:30-8 pm at the Coquitlam Public Library Central Branch on Wednesday, the 23rd of May, 2012.

Camp Ignite is a four-day camp that educates and inspires young women to follow their dreams. The camp is open to girls in grades 10-12 (ages 15-18), and gives them an introduction to the world of firefighting.

First Year 101

Are you starting college or university in the fall? Do you wonder how you will manage your time, or which courses you should take, or how you're going to pay for school? Are you concerned about living in a dormitory or dealing with a long commute from home to campus?


Come hear from students currently studying at universities and colleges both locally and across Canada. These former mentees are returning to share their advice and experience with you. They're ready to answer your questions and help demystify the transition to college or university.
