Please check that you have the following original documents ready for use to copy.

• Proof of Current Legal Guardianship
• Proof of Status in Canada for Parent or Legal Guardian
• Proof of Status in Canada for Child
• Proof of Residency in Pinetree Catchment
• Report Card - most recent one from the previous school

Supplemental Documentation (if applicable)

• Individual Education Plan (I.E.P.), if it exists
• Behaviour Plan (I.B.P.), if it exists
• A.I.P. for ESL student, if it exists

NOTE:

• We require originals of all these documents.  Copies will be made by a school official, and your original documents will be returned to you.
• "Legal Guardian" refers to the status of guardianship of a child.  When a birth parent is not the legal guardian, a document showing the court-approved transfer of guardianship is required.

Required from custodial parent* - one of:

• Canadian birth certificate
• Canadian passport
• Canadian Citizenship card
• Confirmation of Landing/Permanent Residence (8-1/2 x 14" sheet) and passport
• Permanent Resident Card (front and back)
  
  Also, one of:
• Work Permit** valid for a year or more and proof of employment
• Study Permit** valid for a year or more and Letter of Acceptance or transcript (cannot be for ESL courses or high school upgrading)
• Refugee Documents - Convention or Claimant
  **Please send copy of International Education for verification prior to child starting school.

Required of child - one of:

• Birth certificate
• Passport
• Canadian Citizenship card
• Confirmation of Landing/Permanent Residence (8-1/2 x 14" sheet) and passport

Legal guardian must be resident in British Columbia (as defined by the Income Tax Act).

• Property purchase agreement showing name and address
• Mortgage papers showing name and address
• Income tax statement showing name and address

Plus one of:

• Hydro Bill or Terasen Gas Bill showing current address
