Welcome to Pinetree Secondary School, a school that offers a wide range of academic programs as well as exceptional extracurricular opportunities.

Located on Pinetree Way across from Lafarge Park and next to the David Lam Campus, our school is unique in that it shares its site and part of its facility with both the Parks and Leisure Services of Coquitlam and Douglas College. This three-way partnership has enabled all partner groups to benefit from cost sharing in the creation of exceptional facilities. We are fortunate to have this opportunity as well as the means to develop shared programs with Douglas College and the Community Centre.

We look forward to welcoming our new grade nine students to their "educational home" for the next four years. We are a young school and, despite our short history, we are proud of the wonderful school culture that is developing here. Our staff is committed to making decisions in the best interest of our students. Our students have demonstrated abundant energy and exceptional academic growth.

We are proud of all our school programs and the high level of achievement that many of our students attain. Our graduates manage to win many scholarships and register impressive results in provincial and national examinations. We will continue to build on the traditions and high standards they have set. We are confident that the many courses and programs offered will enable you to discover your full potential, and help you develop a strong sense of your own personal direction.

Beyond classrooms our students have many opportunities to become involved in healthy, enriching and productive activities. Our school boasts strong fine and performing arts programs as well as a complete athletic agenda. Our noon hour "intramural" program is exceptional; club offerings range from board games to hiking and outdoors clubs to computer and technology clubs. Both student government and our PAC are active and supportive.

We are pleased with our growing reputation that characterizes Pinetree Secondary School as an outstanding place for students to learn.
