The Heritage Woods Parents Advisory Committee (HWPAC) encourages all parents to come out and "SOS" (Support our School). Our PAC consists of parents graciously volunteering their time and energy at various events throughout the school year. The PAC works closely with the administration, teachers and counsellors to ensure our concerns or needs as parents, are being accurately communicated. Parents can assume Executive positions or simply volunteer when they can. We host monthly meetings on the 3rd Monday of every month, with alternating morning (9am) and evening (7pm) meetings (please see the school calendar for specific dates and times). The meetings are held in the school library or the Grand Hall. All are welcome, please come out and "SOS".

AfterGrad Information

Each year, Heritage woods Secondary hosts a series of events in spring for the graduating class (grade 12's).  One of these events is the After Grad party which is held at the school (from 12 midnight to 5 am) and immediately follows the Graduation Dinner/Dance.  This event allows the grads to continue the evening's Graduation celebration in a safe, alcohol-free environment filled with games, food, prizes and entertainment.  The cost of putting on this eveng is approximately $30,000.00 ($100/graduate) and is funded entirely through cash donations and various fundraising efforts.  It also required significant planning and plenty of Parent volunteering your time or making a cash/prize donation.

Planning for the 2012 After Grad is well under way.  Please check the HW Community Portal calendar for upcoming meeting dates.  The meetings are held in the school Library.  ALL are welcome.

Cash Donations:  Please make your cheque payable to Heritage Woods Secondary (noting "2012 After Grad) and drop it off at the school office.  Tax receipts will be provided for donations of $20 or more.
