Odyssey Teams Win GOLD this Weekend!

Rochester was well represented by 11 students who participated on two different teams in the Provincial Odyssey of the Mind competition in Langley on 18 April.  The Rochester Team of Jian R., Jasmine P., Rebecca K., Marcus R., Stefan T., and Dominique E. won the gold medal with their Silent Movie problem. 

Meanwhile, Rochester students Katherine M., Nicole B., Lili A., Thea C. and Saaren van W. teamed with Maillard Middle students against Middle School aged competitors and also won gold with their Runaway Train problem.   Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem solving program which challenges students to work as teams to create innovative solutions to long term and spontaneous problems. Along the way, they learn about teamwork, risk-taking, budgeting and respect for the ideas of others.
