Students will be introduced to theories of accounting.  They will gain knowledge of fundamental concepts that can be applied to personal and business use. All students will complete practical exercises similar to the records kept by a small business. Computerized accounting and spreadsheets will be included.

Students will study and apply advanced accounting concepts and principles. Accounting and spreadsheet software will also be used almost entirely in this course. In addition, students will learn to complete personal income tax returns on‐line as well as on paper. The course will benefit students pursuing postsecondary education or seeking employment in business.
