Bus Service Changes Start December 19th

December 08, 2016

As a result of the opening of the Evergreen Extension there will be changes to Translink's bus services.

The service changes specific to students using the 97-B Line can be found here: http://www.translink.ca/servicechanges These changes take effect on December 19th.

Students and staff can do personalized trip planning by going to http://tripplanning.translink.ca/ and setting it to any date December 19th and onward.

In response to our questions about the potential impact these changes will have on our school community,  Translink has asked us to share the following:

"Prior to the Evergreen Extension opening, the 97 B-Line was crowded with customers travelling past Port Moody Secondary School to Lougheed Station. Many of those customers are now using the Evergreen Extension (or will be after Dec 19), alleviating passenger loads on that corridor.

After December 19th, the 180 (previously the C24) will operate during peak periods using a conventional sized bus and at 15 minute frequency. The 180 will be coming out of College Park eastbound mostly empty and when school is letting out, will leave Moody Centre Station westbound mostly empty."

Should you have any feedback for Translink, their contact information can be found at: http://www.translink.ca/
