Dear parent and guardian,

As you may know, a student walkout  being promoted by students for the morning of Wednesday, June 4, has received a significant amount of media attention.

Coquitlam schools will be in session and it is our expectation that students will be in class.  We fully respect student voice and their legitimate right to share their concerns.  However, if your teen is considering being part of the walkout please have a conversation with your teen that once off site there will be no supervision and the school district is no longer responsible for your teen.  Parents and students should be aware of concerns regarding student safety.
