Over the last few years, secondary schools in our school district are being impacted by agents outside of our school and district who are promoting trips for students in our schools.  None of these trips are sanctioned by the school district or Port Moody Secondary.  Unfortunately, these trips get published as the Port Moody Secondary 2012 Grad Trip.  We have nothing to do with this program.  The trips are called “S Trips”.

 We are hearing that the next trip is to Puerto Vallarta for March 2012.  There were organizational meeting at the Art Gallery over a week ago.  Apparently, there will be student reps in secondary schools advertising the “S Trip” to our current grade 11s.  We shall not be condoning this activity and there will not be any meetings or advertizements okayed by this administration, school or District #43 (Coquitlam). It is recommended that parents and guardians check carefully into the trips and determine the level of safety and supervision of your children.
