Welcome to the Porter Street Community!
It was great meeting everyone when you came to pick up your Welcome to Kindergarten Bag back in June. It is our sincere hope that your child is even more excited than before about starting Kindergarten in September. We understand that families may have concerns coming to school with the overarching concerns of the Covid-19 virus. This schedule has been created to ensure that students remain with the same group of students and staff in a small learning group for the school year. Our first meeting, on the first day of school – Thursday, September 10th – is a quick hello, confirmation of your enrollment and short story in the classroom. All staff, students and families will need to maintain social distancing on the first Thursday. Children should not attend if they have any sign of illness. Please inform the office for all absences.
UPDATED Gradual Entry Schedule
Here is the updated - modified schedule for all Kindergarten students during the first 2 weeks of school (extending the length of stay each time), from September 10th – September 22nd. This schedule has been revised due to the circumstances of Covid-19 and changes to our regular school program. Thank you for your patience. If your child is unable to attend on any given day – please let the office know – 604-936-4296.
