There have been some issues with some of our families receiving emails – in particular, Hotmail accounts have been slow to receive messages
The Provincial MyEd Team, who oversees the provincial network, is aware of the issues in sending email messages to Hotmail addresses from MyEd where there are extremely long delays (days) before the message is delivered or not delivered at all.
“The Provincial MyEd support team has raised the issue with Microsoft and Hotmail directly but don't have an ETA for a resolution yet.
The issue is a Hotmail issue and as such outside of (the district's) or the provincial teams control.
The only workarounds we can suggest at this time is to ask parents to provide a different email address other than a Hotmail address."
What can I do if I have an affected email account?
- Contact the office with a different email address
- Let your child's teacher know next week so they are aware of the issue (staff is aware there may be issues with Hotmail accounts) If you do not hear who your child's teacher is this weekend, it may be because of this issue; please contact the office Monday morning or check with staff outside the building Monday morning
