National Day of Mourning
Today is National Day of Mourning. All across Canada, flags are flying at half mast to honour the many workers who have lost their lives on the job. We will also take 1 minute at 11am to pay respect to those who helped us learn how important safety at work is. Things like using a ladder instead of a chair, ensuring that our hallways are clean and clear, that the lights around here all work properly, all contribute to a safer workplace as students and staff for our Moody community!
Canadian Labour Congress and the Federal Government are encouraging us to remember the many workers who have lost their lives while employed at work sites across our nation. In their honour, and to reaffirm our focus to create safe and healthy jobs for all Canadians, we recognize the significance of this day. Safety first!
Today, happy birthday to Emma!
