Safety First

Many of us have not been wearing masks outside so our voices are carrying more. Please speak loudly without yelling and screaming! It saves our vocal cords and our hearing. Regular loud noises like screaming can cause our hearing to decline just as quickly as a lawn mower! Yikes!

R is for Respect

No need to ask for a mask at school anymore. You've got extras in your bag, just in case! Please be respectful and responsible and consider the environment when you reach for a new mask or ask for one from the office or your teachers. They are harmful for birds and animals when in landfills and are not a renewable resource, yet! Pack a reusable mask so you always have one handy, just in case! Think green as Earth Day is just around the corner. How will you contribute?!

District Speech Finals!

Today, District level virtual public speaking finals are taking place until 11 am in the foods room. Please avoid the hallway until we are done as your sound will carry. We are one of 6 middle schools participating! Good luck to Anna, Tom, Isabella and Emilie!

Lockers

This week, students in grades 8 and 7/8 are beginning to talk about and practice opening locks in order to receive a locker. Lockers belong to the school so please do take care and show respect for school property as these are on loan to students! In June, your locker must be in the same or better condition than you found it! Need to learn or need a refresher on opening your lock? Sports

Attention sports fans! Spring sport sign up is starting this week. We will be holding sign up in the main foyer but you will need to bring your own pencil! The teams and clubs are for all grades and for both Boys and Girls. The Spring sports will be: Rugby, Track and Field, Badminton, and Wrestling. Track and Field includes many events such as discus, shotput, it's not just running. And if there is gym space, Basketball and Volleyball club will continue to meet as well. So be sure to bring your own pencil and sign up for a Spring sport this week.
