Reminders from Ms. Jung

Safety First!

We've been hand washing and sanitizing and should be doing this still, a minimum of 11 times a day! When moving into common spaces like the gym, please remember to sanitize again, without reminders! As we prepare to have our own lockers starting with grade 8 and 7/8 classes, and the privilege of owning a space to put our belongings outside our classroom, showing we are respectfully sanitizing, spacing out, keeping our hands to ourselves and moving down the right side of the halls, is important! If you've done your daily health check but realize you are not feeling well at school, let your teacher know, please!

R is for Respect

Being accountable means being able to notify your teacher if a common space like the bathroom is not clean when you're using it. Alternatively, if someone missed the trash can or dropped some trash, you should help them by picking it up and then sanitizing after! Thank you!

Break Times
Looking for something fun to do at lunch? Be sure to let your teachers know if a ball is missing or something is not functioning properly. We want students to be engaged outside playing games and connecting with others so that you are making good choices and finding fun things to do! Even your races down the track are great ways to engage in fun challenges, get some energy out and enjoy the warmer weather we're seeing!

To help with this initiative of getting out to do something fun... we have been awarded with proper hiking boots for each student and staff member in the school as everything opens up. We'll also be allowed to bring our dogs every Friday! We will be starting each day with 30 minutes of hiking up the trails and hopefully having a mountain climb race in June. See you out there for some fresh air!

April Fools - yes, it would have been nice to start each day racing up the hill in new hiking boots with our staff dogs: Tanner, Harley, Daisy, Mikey, Kingston and our pet fish, Bubba! If you really like this idea, how do you think we could really get this initiative going?! Now, back to our daily art! Have a great day, everyone!

High Five Fridays

Special recognition to students like Hailey, Emma  and Roan for taking the time to ask others including adults like Ms. Jung, "How was your spring break?" That really made her day to hear from the students!

Ms. Leonard is back at 3D printing for Ms. Jung and welcoming staff meetings back in the library before, during and after school! Thank you!

This is our first week back! Ms. Jung would like to recognize our students for being mindful of others. When prompted to redirect their attention to more appropriate ways, you have been quick to change directions for good! When we work together, life is just more fun!

Yearbook: There is a yearbook meeting today at lunch in the library.

The students in the Friends of Simon Tutoring Program will meet at 3:00 in the library. Please bring your homework!
