Announcements

Please say a happy hello to Mr. Screbsky, Ms. Vanatko, and Ms. Prout

Today, Happy birthday to Mrs. Domingo on her second last day here before her maternity leave! Mr. Perry is here to spend the day with her and Division 8 in Wind Pod, getting to know the group that will become his class! Welcome to Moody, Mr. Perry!

Reminders from Ms. Jung

Safety First

Working in the hall is problematic when you are not seated quietly somewhere to the side. We have more students in the halls now for a variety of reasons. Be mindful of others passing by and work in class as the best, optimal choice. Traffic still needs to be one way and on the right side of the halls and stairwells, please!

R is for Respect

Listen carefully to instructions and remember we are still following Pandemic protocols. Shuffle to the right in the halls. Check the expiry dates on food donations before bringing it to school. Leave food donations at your classroom door for convenient and safe pick up. Please and thank you!

Pod shirts!

Order and pay for a pod shirt online if you are not a new student at school this year and you may have one but need a new one! Shirts are $12 and orders must be received by tomorrow at noon if you already received one and need a new one.

If you are new to our school and new to your pod this year, you already provided your shirt sizing to your teacher. We hope orders will come before the winter break! Thanks to Ms. Bromhead at the office for arranging this for us!

13 Days of Moody!

It's Day 2 of the 13 days of Moody and aren't you curious just why your teachers chose this profession?!

Ms. Egelstad in Fire Pod originally chose to be a counselor or a psychologist but ran out of time and money and started a family instead! As a teacher, she is both of these and more! She played all sports in high school, was a cheerleader, played alto sax, and sang in the choir. These passions led to her first paid jobs getting her through university! Also in Fire Pod with Ms. Egelstad is Ms. Donais! Ms. Donais has been an educator for a long time spending more than 15 years as a preschool teacher because she loved it as a high school student taking a work experience course. Before she knew it, she was curious about school-aged children and became an Education Assistant! Bet you didn't know that she received an award from the City of West Vancouver for Leadership in recognition of the work in school and around the community! That spirit has not changed as Ms. Donais has given much of her personal time to supporting initiatives at school including bringing staff and students together to build a more kind and connect community!

Birthdays

Today, Happy Birthday to Sydney and Rozhina!

Mr. Clay's Jokes of the Day

When does it rain money? When there is "change" in the weather.

Why did the man use ketchup in the rain? Because it was raining cats and hot dogs.

What do you get if you come in fourth at the National Weatherman Awards? A precipitation trophy.
