Announcements for today:
We welcome several visitors today. Hello to Mr. Fibish, Ms. Di Stasio, Ms. Rolleston and Ms. Klopp. Please be sure to ask for help if you aren't sure about something. We are a helpful bunch!
Hey Moody! The cats and pumpkins are getting closer! They were seen last night in Maple Ridge!
Reminders from Ms. Jung
Safety First!
Staying in bounds in play areas is important to ensure the safety of all especially on wet and rainy days when the grassy hill is soggy! The west entrance by Buller Street area is not a good place to be as it is not easily visible to adults. Please listen to adults when you are asked to move, stop, slow down or try something new, some place new!
R is for Respect
By playing in bounds, we allow the adults to support your safety. By playing with equipment that you've brought out allows you to spend time with friends in a more fun way, too! If you are bringing out play equipment, you do need to bring it in, too! Teachers, please make sure all equipment is clearly labelled with your division number on it!
Birthdays
Happy Birthday to Iris and Mr. Zimmer! Hope you have a really special day!
Field Hockey
There is a field hockey practice on Friday after school. Please be prepared to jump out of your Halloween costume to practice outside! Bring your form, mouth guard and athletic fees if you are not going to be paying online or haven't paid yet! Ms. Jung has some extra mouth guards available for purchase. Thanks!
Volleyball
Grade 7 volleyball you have practice today after school.
Cross Country
There is a cross-country practice today after school at 3:15. We meet by the rainbow stairs. You must have your completed form to run with us.
Jr. Band
Attention all Jr. Band members - if you play the Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, or Bass Guitar in Jr. Band, we have a rehearsal tomorrow morning. Start time is 7:50. See you there!
Fruit and Veggies
Today is fruit and veggie day! We will get delicious BC baby carrots. Did you know that carrots contain beta-carotine? When you eat a carrot your body turns the beta-carotine into Vitamin A which is important for healthy eyes, bones, teeth and skin!
Yearbook
We still need your help creating an artistic cover for our yearbook this year. Ms. Leonard has received a few entries and is looking forward to seeing more.
Reminder: You have until November 8 to hand in your entry. Contest forms can be found posted in your classroom, on your class team, or Ms. Leonard has some extra copies in the library.
There will be a meeting today at lunch in the library for any page designers who are having trouble logging in, need some more instructions or still have questions about the connect me website.
Immunizations
Teachers, please send a runner to the office with your immunization forms immediately after these announcements. The nurse is coming to pick them up! Grade 7 forms are coming very soon! Thank you!
