Safety Protocols
Washing hands is a good precaution to prevent Covid from spreading! Good hygiene like this prevents flus from spreading too, so this practice is here to stay. Bubble up, sing happy birthday twice and wish Sasha Newberry a happy birthday today! Yesterday, it was Ms. Hunyadi's birthday. We hope she enjoyed her World Teachers' Day birthday!
Respect
E for being educated is good for the heart and soul as well as your mind! Choose a simple goal or two today and work to achieve it. Even a daily art goal to draw for 10 minutes is beneficial for learning.
Field Hockey
Interested in field hockey? There will be a brief meeting to learn more about practices, equipment, permission forms and to learn something new! See you next week on Wednesday at Nut Break outside on the back field for more info! Our first practice will be next week on Friday, October 15th after school from 3:15 to 4! Bring a friend!
Terry Fox Run
This Friday our Moody Middle school community will celebrate Terry Fox's legacy by having our Terry Fox run. Our Terry Fox run this year will be 2 kilometers long. Did you know that Terry would run not just 2km but 42km each day? Yes 42km daily and he did that for over 140 days on his Marathon of hope. Let's do it for Terry and try our best to jog the 2km this Friday and keep his dream alive.
SLC Meeting
For all students looking forward to our first SLC meeting on Wed, Oct. 6th please make sure you hand in your permission form to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible. The meeting will be right after lunch on Wednesday in the Multipurpose room, that's the one by the gym across from the office). You will sit in your Pod groupings, so we can watch the video while still keeping mindful of Covid safety protocols. There will be time after the video when you can ask any questions you may have about SLC. When lunch finishes, go to your class for attendance and then you will be called down shortly after that!
Volleyball practice
Gr 8's Reminder to the grade 8 volleyball team, your first practice is tomorrow October 7th afterschool in the gym. Please have proper PE strip,

Jr Band Trumpet Players
This is a reminder to the Jr. Band Trumpet players - your first morning rehearsal is tomorrow October 7th! Please meet Mrs. Reichert outside the main entrance of the school 5-10 minutes before 7:50. If you arrive late, please come in and come right to the music room. See you there!
Cross Country Running Club
There will be a short meeting for the Cross-country running club today October 6th in the MPR(beside the gym) at 12:25pm.
Fruit and Veggie Day
Today is fruit and veggie day! We will be getting a delicious BC grown organic apple!
