Get Real

Get Real joins us from Ontario this morning. Please have your devices ready to go! This is our first guest presentation of the year. The expectation is that we will all listen without talking, respond appropriately when asked to do so and show that all of us from Moody are kind, respectful audience members, even if not everyone can see us. Be respectful and kind and today will be an exciting one!

Planners

Hope you are using your planners! If you forgot to wear pod colours or a pod shirt today, be sure to jot it down in your planner for next week, Friday! Teachers, please send extra planners to Ms. Jung when you visit the office. Thank you!

Daily Art

Hope you have received your Daily Art supplies! Be sure to label everything with your name! Enjoy some quiet time creating and noticing just how, for many of us, this is a calming activity!

Outside Days
If we have an outside day and it rains, please dress appropriately and bring an umbrella. This school does not have much undercover area. As well, move away from the waterfalls, please. Being wet and cold while trying to learn is not fun! Watch the waterfall and enjoy listening to the sounds of the rain instead! Thank you!

Orange Shirt Day
Orange Shirt Day is on September 30th this year and for the first time, it is a national holiday. Why wear an Orange Shirt? We want to raise awareness of Residential Schools, advance Reconciliation, and honour survivors of Residential Schools. We will learn more about this in the coming weeks and months so stay tuned. We will have an opportunity to wear an orange shirt in solidarity at the end of this month.

High Fives 
Ms. Jung would like to say thank you to Mme Grayston and Mr. Clay for organizing Orange Shirt Day so that we can all be placing our orders online this weekend. Ask your parents to watch out for an email from Mr. Clay. We need our orders in by Monday, maybe Tuesday, so that we have them in time for the new National Day of Truth and Reconciliation Holiday. Shirts will be $20 in a variety of sizes for staff, students and our immediately families only. Thank you!
