Daily Announcements - 12-Feb-2021

February 12, 2021
  • Please welcome Ms. Pancho and Ms. Suchynsky who isn't usually here on Fridays!  She helps plan our spirit events so we are happy she is here
  • Gung Hay Fat Choy!  Today is new year's day for many Asians around the world including Koreans, Vietnamese and Chinese people like Ms. Jung!  Help us celebrate by being kind, wearing red, receiving lucky money in a lucky red envelope if you are single, and saying Happy New Year of the Ox!  Did you know that all of our grade 6s are oxen?  We leave behind the Year of the Rat which were our grade 7s last year and prior to that, our grade 8 pigs!
  • It is very cold and slippery out.  Snow and ice stays on the ground, please.  Walk carefully and keep your distance, even outside.  Remember to be properly masked up before lining up.  This weekend is the perfect time to celebrate family after washing your reuseable masks.
  • High 5s - Ms Jung would like to extend a High Five to two special groups of student leaders. Their random act of caring was heartwarming because they offered without prompting, to shovel the snow and ice from the blacktop by the sports court to ensure that staff and students would be safe walking to the field for last Wednesday's fire drill. From Fire Pod in Ms. Egelstad's class, Ms Jung would like to recognize Liam, Owen, and Rushaan! Isn't it awesome when friends come together and lift each other up? Thanks to Ms. Turje's Water Pod students who worked hard, too. Ms Jung would like to recognize: Kazhin, Ash, Amanda, Bee and Caspian! Way to go! Don't be surprised if your RAC nomination is pulled from the prize box!
