Good Morning EMMSOTA Families.
I hope all of you are managing these uncertain times and spending some quality time together as families. The weather has been beautiful and we have opportunities to get outdoors in so many ways and still consider our social distance. Please take advantage of the great weather at least to get outside for some walks or hikes.
As many of you know BC Ministry of Education and the Province of BC made a statement yesterday suspending in-class instruction for all schools in the province indefinitely.
Please see the attached letter from Minister of Education Rob Fleming. The letter outlines the announcement of March 17, 2020 that all K-12 schools in BC will be suspending in-class instruction indefinitely. School District 43 is committed to sharing information as it relates to schools as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, it is recommended that parents/guardians monitor news outlets for further information on the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation.
School District 43 information on COVID-19 may be found here - updates will be posted as they become available.
We recognize these are very trying times for all of us across our local, national and international communities. It is now more imperative than ever that we stay positive and reach out however we can to support each other. Please let us know if there is anything you think we can do to support your family.
We look forward to finding normal again and seeing all of you soon.
Take care of yourselves and stay safe.
