Our music theme last week was: 'Thankful' - the first letters of each song spelled out the word. Winners are Caprice Div 7, Evan Div 2, Xylia Div 3 and Arzu Div 3
Grade 7 boys basketball practice today at lunch is cancelled, as we have a polling station in the gym. Please remember there is a game tomorrow, at Moody after school
Recycling is cancelled today - we'll try again tomorrow
Art Club meets today at lunch and today is Henna Day! Only those students who have had a henna test sample done on their hand will be allowed to put their henna designs on today. See you at 12:20
Chess club is on today after school in the Youth Lounge
Tech Ed will be open today at lunch for students to finish their wood projects or Div 16 electronics
Gr 7 girls volleyball meeting today at nutrition break in Rm 301. We have our first away game tomorrow
Gr 8 girls vball practice today is cancelled - see you tomorrow morning at 7:45
The gym and MPR are off limits all day today because we are a Voting Place for the Federal Election. Please be courteous to our visitors as they approach the school. Students who like to eat at the front doors or amphitheater areas please find a new spot for today. You teachers will be taking you to the polling station now that you've participated in the Student Vote, so you can see what the real thing looks like! Be sure to watch the news tonight to see if your chosen candidate and Federal party is successful!
Playground Etiquette - our school grounds are for all students to play, everywhere. Please play fair so our grounds are a safe place to be for all. Did you know that you can borrow equipment from the office by signing it out and returning it during breaks?
Our piano has a new location in the MPR - it is only for students who can respectfully play songs on the instrument. Please see Ms. Jung if you'd like to be one of the first to play music in the foyer from 8:25-8:35
Field Hockey - we have a practice today in preparation for our game next week on Friday. Let Ms. Jung know if you can't make it to practice today after school - rain or shine
Mindfulness Moment - smile and make eye contact with others as you walk down the hallway. Research says that doing something kind like saying hello with your eyes is not only courteous and respectful, it releases serotonin which helps us learn and makes us feel good!
