SD43 Confucius Institute will have a free workshop on "Programming and Robotics' this Saturday Nov 26, from 2 to 4 pm at Gallery Room, Winslow Center (1100 Winslow Ave, Coq). "The Computer and Robotics Program at SD43 Confucius Institute will have a free workshop on Saturday, November 26 at Winslow Center (1100 Winslow Ave, Coquitlam) from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. The workshop will have one of B.C.'s expert STEM teachers Henry Ho giving a lecture on Robotics Programming using the VEX IQ Robotics platform. Henry will give a hands-on demo, showing students how to use VEX IQ and giving an intro to robotics systems. A Q&A session will follow the demo. The workshop will also provide information on the Technovation Challenge, a competition sponsored by Google and Microsoft and designed to guide girls in becoming technology entrepreneurs. Workshops offered by the Computer and Robotics Program are free to the public and aim to build a vibrant community of technology education and entrepreneurship in SD43. Workshop space is limited.
