Hi folks, My Outlook hasn't been working since the end of July, so I have been unable to send mass messages to everyone. Here's a brief update of what's happening in our ensembles. Beginner Band: As of Sunday, September 13, we have 82 students signed up for Beginner Band. Due to the large popularity of some instruments, your son/daughter may have to play their second/third choice in order to have a balanced band. The instruments that have a full section are: alto sax, trumpet, baritone, electric bass, and percussion (which includes drums). The following instruments are still available: flute, clarinet, tenor sax, trombone, and french horn. Please note that there will NOT be a rehearsal tomorrow morning at 7:30am. We will have a meeting for all Beginner Band students on Thursday, September 17th at 7:30am, and INSTRUMENTS ARE NOT NEEDED. Advanced Band: The first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:30am. Jazz Band: The first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, September 16th at 7:30am. Instrument Rental Night is this Monday, September 14th between 7:00-9:00pm in the music room. Bring a credit card so that you can fill out a contract and take an instrument home right away. Choir: We are still deciding on the rehearsal times, so a sign-up sheet has not been posted. There will be an announcement once the sign-up sheets are posted.
