Verbathon

Congratulatulations to all of the teams participating in the Verbathon today at Irvine! Everyone did very well at this exciting event! A special congratulations to the winning teams featured below who will represent Irvine at the District Verbathon in late May.

The Verbathon® Tournament at Irvine that was held on May 3 was a huge success! Everyone involved had a fun and exciting experience. Here are the winning teams- Félicitations!:

 

Grade 2: Ethan H., Eli Z., Liesl W., Tanner L., Kiley B., Conrad T.
Grade 3: Dane C., Josh K., Mia B., Andrew H., William H., Emily C.-V.

Grade 4: Daniel H., Jayden M., Eden B., Olivia A.

Grade 5: Shaeya W., Shea H., Jack H., Kayla S., Dorian C., Lakota T.-P.

 

These teams will compete at the Coquitlam District Verbathon Tournament organized by CPF (Canadian Parents for French) on May 28 at Our Lady of Fatima School.

 

Merci beaucoup to the following parents and teachers who helped make the event flow so smoothly:

  • Judges: Station 1 (2e) –Mme Methot, Station 2 (2e) –Mrs. McNally, Station 3 (3e) –Mr. Dugas, Station 4 (3e) –Mme Zimmerman, Station 5 (4e) –Mme Tan, Station 6 (4e) –Mme Strachan, Station 7 (4e) –Mme Comartin, Station 8 (5e) –M. Stewart, Station 9 (5e) –Mme Howard

     

  • Timers: Station 1 –Mrs. Skrukwa, Station 2 –Mrs. Jackson, Station 3 – Mr. Jackson, Station 4 –Mrs. Mah, Station 5 –Mrs. Harrison, Station 6 –Mrs. Campbell, Station 7 –Mrs. Gatchalian, Station 8 – Mr. Wharram, Station 9 – Mrs. Cerantola

Mrs. Birnie opened the ceremony by lighting the "flame."

M. Escueta was the Emcee. He is also the creator of Verbathon®.
