Students (aged 18+ at the time of the workshop) who are of Aboriginal ancestry (First Nations including Status and non-Status, Inuit and Métis) and interested in any area of health science offered at the UBC are invited to attend this FREE 3 Day Workshop. Health Sciences at UBC covers a huge range of programs such as social work, audiology, speech language pathology, public health, midwifery, kinesiology, physical therapy as well as the traditional programs of medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy and pharmacology, amongst many, many others!
Students will learn about the admissions process at UBC, covering such topics as team based learning and the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) format used in many health science admissions processes, as well as information on financing your education.
