We have been advised that it is probably not wise to have students cross a picket line for non-essential service activities like the planned assembly on Tuesday.
As it is our understanding that the teachers will not have a picket line on Monday June 16th, we are changing the Grad Assembly to that day. Support staff should also be in the building and this will also make it easier for us to conduct our work.
Grad Assembly-Monday- June 16th-11am-Red Gym
Students should enter through the front door of the school off Poirier.
At the assembly Gr. 12 students will:
· Receive important information about how the Commencement ceremony will run, and what their role is
· Receive their “Reader Card” necessary to cross the stage so that their name can be read.
· Review Behavioral expectations for the Grad Dinner Dance.
After the Assembly we hope to:
· Distribute Gr. 12 yearbooks
· Have a Grad BBQ
· Distribute Caps and Gowns to students who have not yet received any (Noon-2pm)
We will likely need some help with these latter points, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
